Nutrition

Dr. Mark JC Nuijten is a pioneer in the field of nutrition-economics and has been the first classical health economist applying and developing health economic methodologies for nutritionals leading to many publications and presentations. He is academic supervisor of PhD programs at the University of Maastricht (nutrition-economics in malnutrition and obesity) and the University of Groningen (stratified medicine) in The Netherlands and founder of the ISPOR Special Interest Group on nutrition-economics. Dr. Nuijten has performed over the last 6 years more than 15 projects both for medical nutrition and consumer markets, which have resulted in numerous publications. Examples of clients are Nestle, Danone, Abbott and DSM, in addition to biotech companies in filed of nutrition.
